Colorful Scenic Byways

Mark usually has our stops for the day planned out ahead of time.  Today (October 4th) we made a last minute change and took an unplanned route.  We  drove the Scenic Byways along Hwy 11, 6, and 201 passing through towns like Milo, Greenville, Rockwood and Jackman, and seeing gorgeous fall colors, bridges, mountains, and lakes.  We enjoyed the leisurely drive with many spontaneous stops in quaint villages, coming upon breathtaking vistas and making some fun discoveries.  We had two moose (a bull and a cow) cross the road in front of us, but they disappeared into the woods before we could snap a picture.  We stopped for the night partway down Old Canada Road Scenic Byway (201) at a half-hidden, run-down campground on the river where we had to pay 25 cents per minute for the shower.  It was a great day!
